Race 4 at Kembla Grange today could turn out to be a match race between Godolphin runners Nathula and Organza, but I am confident that the latter can post a third-consecutive win. Organza was sent for a spell after she broke her maiden at Newcastle in October and resumed three weeks ago for a comfortable win over 1400m, also at Newcastle. This is a slight step up in class, but she’ll take plenty of improvement into this race and is drawn ideally in barrier 2.
The Team Hawkes-trained Palladian has returned to racing in smart form this time and will enjoy a drop back in class into Race 6 at Kembla Grange this afternoon. The Northern Meteor gelding ran on well to finish third over 1100m at Rosehill first-up, before producing a similar performance for third at Randwick last time out. He can find a position slightly closer this afternoon from barrier 4 and he has a fitness edge over several of his main rivals in this race.

Dante Rosetti will return to the races following a gelding this afternoon and looks over the odds at $8.50. The son of Sebring produced several good performances between lacklustre runs last time in, which included a smart win over 1400m at Kembla. He’s trialled well leading into this race and the fact that Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott are electing to launch his campaign at a mile suggests that he is very forward. He’s drawn ideally and if the ultimate gear change has switched him on, he’ll be tough to beat.
