The Proud Miss Stakes is a Group 3 event taking place at Morphettville Racecourse in South Australia each May on The Goodwood Day.
Part of the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival, the race is open to fillies and mares aged three and above.
It is a set weights plus penalties sprint conducted over 1200m and offers $150,000 in prize money.
First held in 2004 the Proud Miss Stakes was inaugurated as the Pink Diamond.
The race has been called a number of different things over the years but has held its current title – the Proud Miss Stakes – since 2009.
A Group 3 status event since 2014, the race is now named in honour of Proud Miss who won nine of the trot as a two-year-old before her second in the Golden Slipper Stakes in 1962.
