Which Horse Will Win The Chatham Stakes

The best way to pick who will win the Chatham Stakes is to take into account the form, assess the barriers, consider the weight the horse will carry, among other factors.

Additional factors to take into considerations are as follows:

  • Smaller field – Not many horses are nominated for this race, and if you take into account the potential for scratchings, then you may only have to figure out which horse is going to be in the top third (or half) of the field in order to accurately predict a placegetter.
  • 400 metre point – Try and pick a horse that can separate from the pack at the 400 metre mark, the final 1000 metres goes by at sprint speed.
